When Mordred started an argument!!

Believe it or not but some 'heavy metal' fans; particularly back in the '80s and early '90s were extremely narrow-minded. When 'Thrash n' Burn' magazine started in 1991 it posed itself as a magazine that would be strict in its coverage and only feature thrash, death, and other extreme metal. However, the early '90s was a productive time for metal especially after Faith No More had released 'The Real Thing' in 1989. Of course, narrow-minded death metallers and thrash-heads soon began spending too much time ranting within the letters page of metal magazines stating what should and should not be present within the pages. It often made for amusing reading and so here I present to you a couple of letters debating the musical integrity of not just Mordred but also bands such as Faith No More. Enjoy!

Mordred feature on 'Rock Hard Volume 1' video

Here's a snippet from cool, short-lived early '90s metal magazine Thrash n' Burn. In the review section of issue 6 (February 1992) editor Bernard Doe reviews the vhs video compilation and briefly mentions Mordred and their video for Falling Away'.

Mordred in 'Grim Tales'

I recently picked up some rare copies of early '90s metal magazine Thrash n' Burn. This short-lived magazine only ran for six issues but in its last issue of February 1992 it featured an advert for a vhs video called 'Grim Tales' Mordred featured on this compilation video and here's the cover and a rather strange review in which editor Bernard Doe states that the vocals to 'Esse Quam Videri' are "inaudible" ha!
