It has several masterpiece songs and most of the rest are solid too. Paul Kimball did great job in vocals.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00647964402935473501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-591945996948989220.post-22507442165177751832009-02-02T16:21:00.000+00:002009-02-02T16:21:00.000+00:00WOW... can't believe it took me this long to find ...WOW... can't believe it took me this long to find this interview. Anyway, it's a great read; however, I for one have always loved THE NEXT ROOM and think it's one of the best MORDRED albums released. Sure when it came out I was floored to not hear Scott but after the first song ended I was HOOKED. It's hands down their heaviest record and it's got some of the best and heaviest grooves, and Kimball's vocal delivery is spot on!!!

I was listening to at work yesterday (which I do a lot with all the Mordered catalog, but the Next Room probably gets the most spins out of the bunch) and realized I need to find out if Kimball has released anything else, which led me here.

I was thrilled to hear a few years ago when Scott rejoined the band but then last year heard and read he was gone again and the band was back to doing straight forward metal and the tunes I heard were uninspiring. This was probably due to the fact the majority of the group that recorded all those classic albums are no longer in the band and I believe it's Art who is using the name.

If there was one band from back in the day I would love to see get back together (like the were when they were recording under contract) it would be MORDRED, and I'd be thrilled to hear Kimball back in the band as much as Scott.

Mordred was so damn unique and so outside the box. Lables are usually clueless how to handle bands with that much talent... damn shame, because they should have been HUGE if promoted properly.SCHROEDERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00178255984376837260noreply@blogger.com
